Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use MakeTheWaitlist. Using the service means you accept them.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must give us a working email address - it is how we send receipts and account notices.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into MakeTheWaitlist. You give us only the permission we need to store it, display it to the people you share it with, and back it up. You are responsible for having the right to use anything you upload, including logos and photographs.

Acceptable use

You may not use MakeTheWaitlist to:

publish content that is unlawful, harassing, or targets a private individual;
impersonate a person or organisation you do not represent;
upload malware, or attempt to break, overload or probe the service;
scrape or resell the service, or use it to run a competing product.

We can suspend an account or remove content that breaks these rules. We will tell you why.

Plans, limits and billing

Free plan. Free, with no time limit. Its waitlist and guest caps are enforced: at the cap, new guests are refused rather than silently dropped.
Subscriptions. Billed in advance each period and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time; you keep the paid tier until the end of the period you have paid for.
One-time passes. Grant a paid tier for a fixed period and then stop. They do not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Waitlist unlock. A one-time $15 purchase that permanently upgrades a single waitlist. It does not expire and is not a subscription. It applies to that waitlist only.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change, but a change never applies to a pass or unlock you have already bought, and we will give notice before it affects a renewal.

Refunds

If the service did not do what the pricing page said it does, email contact@makethewaitlist.com and we will refund you. Otherwise, refunds are at our discretion.

If you stop paying

Nothing is deleted. Your waitlists revert to the free plan’s limits, so a waitlist above the free cap becomes read-only rather than losing guests. Paying again restores editing immediately.

Availability

We work hard to keep MakeTheWaitlist up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages and third-party failures happen. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose - the export tools exist for exactly this.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or one that has been inactive for a very long time, with notice to your registered email.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
